Traditional Masses in Honor of St. Joseph

The following churches will be offering the Tradtional Mass for the Feast of St. Joseph this Wednesday, March 19:

St. Mary Church, Norwalk, CT, Solemn Mass, 7 pm,
Prelude: Meine Seele erhebt den Herren (BWV 648) (Johann Sebastian Bach, 1685-1750)
Missa Sancta et immaculata virginitas (Francisco Guerrero, 1528-1599)
Gregorian Mass of St. Joseph: Justus ut palma
Hymn at the Offertory: Te Joseph celebrent (plainsong, mode i)
Motet at the Communion: Cum esset desponsata (Heinrich Isaac, c.1450-1517)
Postlude: Prelude & Fugue in E-flat Major (‘St. Anne’) (BWV 552) (Bach)

St. Gabriel Church, Stamford, CT, Solemn Mass, 7:30 pm, followed by refreshments.

Church of the Holy Innocents, Manhattan, Solemn Mass, 6 pm, followed by veneration of a relic of St. Joseph’ cloak, followed by a reception in the church hall with a St. Joseph’s table.

The statue of St. Joseph appears in Old St. Patrick Basilica in Manhattan
