First Traditional Mass under Summorum Pontificum at St. Mary’s, Norwalk

Posted by admin

Braving the adverse weather, some 250 people participated in the celebration of the first Traditional Mass under the Motu Proprio at St. Mary’s Norwalk, CT. The Mass was offered in the basement chapel which recently has been lavishly restored. Father Greg Markey celebrated, Bill Riccio was, as always, a masterful MC and David Hughes expertly led the Schola. The Mass concluded with a Te Deum in honor of the start of the regular Traditional Mass at St. Mary’s. At the coffee hour which followed, Father Markey indicated that, assuming the strong attendance of today continues, the community could well anticipate a move to the upstairs church in the spring.
