How appropriate that the Traditional Mass was celebrated “underground”, so to speak.

Basement status.

Following Vatican II, that pretty much characterized the place that the TLM occupied within the Church.

Although never abrogated, the TLM was, for all practical purposes, kept alive by God via the “underground” movement that He inspired.

Today, the TLM is celebrated in a basement. Tomorrow, the TLM will be celebrated above ground.

That is a fitting symbol.

The TLM, once consigned to “underground” status, will, in due time, rise above ground for all to see…to occupy its former place of glory witin the Latin Church.

HOW INAPPROPRIATE TO HAVE THIS MASS IN THE BASEMENT…BUT THIS DIOCESE HAS HIDDEN MANY THINGS WHICH ARE NOW COMING INTO THE LIGHT . THIS IS A DISGRACE AND A SHAME.PLEASE GIVE THIS MASS THE PROPER DIGNITY THAT IT IS GIVEN RIGHT NOW ALL OVER THE WORLD.PERHAPS WHEN WE GIVE JESUS REVERENCE IN OUR CHURCHES AND ALSO, WHEN IT IS EXTENDED TO ALL HIS BELOVED PEOPLE, WE WILL SEE THIS MASS ALSO GIVEN RESPECT.REMEMBER, JESUS SAID TO CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE CUP TOO.I HOPE THAT THE PASTOR IS MOVING THE MASS UPSTAIRS BUT THERE ARE ALSO MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL CHURCHES THAT NEED TO CELEBRATE THIS MASS IN THE DIOCESE OF BRIDGEPORT.
