Traditional Mass Part of Triduum for Feast of Immaculate Conception

Posted by admin

On Friday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m. the Mass of Blessed John XXIII will be celebrated at Our Saviour’s Church in New York City. The celebrant will be the pastor, Father George Rutler. This Mass is part of a Triduum in honor of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady. Further information on the Triduum can be found here:

Perhaps I should point out that the celebrants of the two other (Novus Ordo)masses are affiliated with Opus Dei. Moreover, Father Rutler’s parish bulletin provides the following information on other sacraments:

LITURGIES
In keeping with the provisions of the recent liturgical guidelines of the Holy See, baptisms, weddings, and funerals may be celebrated according the traditional Latin liturgical books or the ordinary rites. Those desiring the “extraordinary form” may indicate this to the Pastor when scheduling the date.
