Traditional Masses for the Feast of the Presentation

We know of two churches in the area that will offer the traditional Latin Mass in observance of Candlemas:

February 2:Our Lady of Good Counsel,230 East 90th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, New York. The traditional blessing of candles will start at 1pm, followed by a procession inside the church. A Solemn High Mass will follow. Fr. Richard Trezza will be the Celebrant, Fr. Matthew Talarico will be the Deacon and Fr. James Miara will be the Subdeacon.

February 3: Immaculate Conception Church, Sleepy Hollow, NY. A missa cantata for the “external” feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be offered at 3pm with the blessing of candles and procession. Mass will be sung by the Sleepy Hollow Schola led by David Hughes. Blessing of throats will follow the mass. directions
