High Mass in Observation of the 40th Anniversary of Humanae Vitae

Friday, July 25 is the 40th Anniversary of the promulgation of Pope Paul VI’s encyclical Humanae Vitae . St. Mary’s Church in Norwalk, CT will be sponsoring an event that evening to observe the occasion and to celebrate Natural Family Planning Week. The evening begins at 6:30 pm with High Mass in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, in reparation for sins committed against the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The St. Mary Schola will sing Missa Aspice Domine by Cristobel de Morales (c. 1500-1553). A reception follows in the church hall, where Msgr. William Smith, Professor of Moral Theology at St. Joseph Seminary of the Archdiocese of New York, will speak on “Humanae Vitae: 40 Years Later.” Babysitting is available. The evening is sponsored by the Gospel of Life Society and the Diocesan Family Life Ministry Office. For more information, call (203)866-5546.
