Pilgrimage to Auriesville this Weekend

Posted by admin

St. Isaac Jogues

We will be gathering this Saturday in Fonda, NY for the final leg of a large pilgrimage to the Shrine of the North American Martyrs in Auriesville. We hope you can join us for this impressive, grace-filled event suitable for the entire family, organized by the National Coalition of Clergy and Laity.

We will assemble at the Shrine of Blessed Kateri Tekawitha in Fonda by 9:00 am (please note that you must park at the Auriesville Shrine by 8:30 and take a shuttle to Fonda). Look for our red banner. We will march 7 miles to Auriesville. The pilgrimage will culminate in a magnificent Solemn High Mass at the giant Shrine to the North American Martyrs.

It is worth it to come to Auriesville just to attend this Mass and to visit the sacred ravine where the bones of St. Rene Goupil are buried.

You must register in advance at the National Coalition website:
http://www.national-coalition.org/pilgrim/index.html
(Registration is free)
