Traditional Masses for Christmas

The following churches in the area will offer the Traditional Mass for the feast of Christmas this year.

Connecticut

St. Mary Church, Norwalk, Solemn High Midnight Mass; Christmas morning Mass at 9:30.

Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church , Bridgeport, 10:15 A.M. Msgr. Joseph Pekar.

St. Stanislaus Church, New Haven, High Mass at 2:00 pm to be celebrated the Rev. Stanley Miekina, C.M. Music will include the Vatican Edition Mass VIII (“Missa de Angelis”) the hymns “Jesu Redemptor omnium” and “A solis ortus,” and the Gregorian chant propers.

St. Bridget of Kildare Church, Moodus, Missa Cantata, 10:30 am.

St. Margaret Church, 289 Willow Street, Waterbury, Midnight Mass, Celebrant: Rev. Robert Villa, (203) 754-6101.


New York

Holy Innocents Church, Manhattan, Midnight Mass, Fr. John Zuhlsdorf, celebrant.

Church of Our Saviour, Manhattan, Missa Cantata, 10 am.

St. Agnes Church, Manhattan, 11 am.

Our Lady of Peace, Brooklyn, 11 am.

Immaculate Conception Church, Sleepy Hollow, Missa Cantata, 3 pm. Directions: www.unavocewestchester.org

New Jersey

Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City, Solemn High Midnight Mass. Beginning at 11:15pm on Christmas Eve, there will be a musical prelude. The Mass will begin at midnight and will include the choral setting of Schubert’s Mass in G with string accompaniment, motets by Herbeck and Victoria as well as Gregorian chant. 344 Sixth Street,Jersey City, NJ 07302, (201)795-0120.

St. Anthony of Padua Church, West Orange, Dec. 24, 10:30 PM Traditional Christmas Carols, 11:00 PM Solemn High Mass (First Mass of Christmas), Dec. 25, 7:30 AM Low Mass (Second Mass of Christmas),9:00 AM Low Mass (Second Mass of Christmas), 11:00 AM High Mass (Third Mass of Christmas)

Our Lady of Fatima, Pequannock, Sung Midnight Mass 7:00 AM – low; 9:00 AM – low; and 11:00 AM- Solemn High.
