Tonight the Catholic Artists Society and the New York Purgatorial Society sponsored a Solemn Requiem Mass at St Agnes Church in New York. Fr. Justin Wylie was the celebrant ansd homilist. Deacon was Fr. Michael Barone and Mr Stephen Pack was subdeacon. Samuel J. Howard was the master of ceremonies. The Requiem by Faure was sung under the direction of James D. Wetzel.
An outstanding sermon by Father Wylie on man created in the image and likeness of God. “Homo faber” – the artist – preeminently shares in the creative activity of God. The Sermon can be heard HERE.
