The restoration of a Brooklyn church….

And an Article in the New York Daily News about it.

We rejoice at the restoration of a Brooklyn church and at the rediscovery of the sense of the sacred and of the artistic heritage of Catholic Tradition underlying it.

“But when I heard how many people had strayed from Holy Name because of the modern altar, I got on board. It would be part of the evangelization of Windsor Terrace.” (The pastor of Holy Name parish)

Yet me must not forget that this success comes at a bitter cost: that altar came from a historic Brooklyn church recently destroyed. And sold to developers for a great sum.
