Feast of Candlemas

This Sunday, Feb. 2, is the Feast of the Presentation, or Candlemas. The following churches are offering the traditional Mass.

St. Mary Church, Norwalk, Solemn Mass 9:30 am.

Church of the Holy Innocents, Manhattan, NY “At Holy Innocents, we will be doing the Blessing and Distribution of Candles, as well as the procession inside the church. (The Faithful are welcome to bring their own special candles to be blessed; the candles will be returned at the end of the Mass).
However, the Mass on that day will be the Mass of Dedication of a Church because this year, the first Sunday in February will be the 144th anniversary of the Consecration/Dedication of the Church of the Holy Innocents.”

St. Stanislaus, New Haven, CT, Missa Cantata, 2 pm.

Immaculate Conception Church, Sleepy Hollow, NY, Missa Cantata, 3 pm with blessing of candles and procession
