As part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity at the Parish of Saint Vincent Ferrer and Saint Catherine of Siena, a Solemn Mass according to the Missal of the Anglican Ordinariate will be celebrated at Saint Catherine’s (411 East 68th Street) on Saturday, January 23rd at 12:00 Noon. The Schola Dominicana (James D. Wetzel, Choirmaster) will sing music from the Anglican choral tradition: Herbert Howells’ Office of Holy Communion: Collegium Regale; Philip Moore’s All wisdom cometh from the Lord; and John Amner’s Sing, O heav’ns. Fr. James Bradley will be the celebrant and homilist.
UPDATE: “Due to the blizzard warning in place for New York City this weekend, the Solemn Mass scheduled according to the Anglican Ordinariate Divine Worship: The Missal scheduled at St. Catherine of Siena Church on January 23, 2016 has been postponed. The Mass and Day of Recollection for Christian Unity will be rescheduled for May 14, 2016, the Vigil of Pentecost. Further details of the schedule will be forthcoming.
