We received this message from Fr. Matthew Reiman:
“I would like to inform you that a solemn high Traditional Latin Mass will be offered at the Church of Saint Francis Xavier in the Bronx on the Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel, September 29th, at 7 PM. The celebrant will be Father Matthew Reiman, curate at the parish.
“This is the first Traditional Mass at Saint Francis since the council. The Church is located at 1703 Lurting Avenue in the Bronx. Any publicity that can be given for this event would be very helpful. I have hopes that this will become a regular part of our parish life.”

Came across this today. The first traditional mass since the council. How ashamed I am that the parish where I served hundreds of masses as an altar boy in the mid 50s, and where I learned the faith from the Baltimore Catechism and the Sisters of Mercy, has taken so long to wake up. I am a traditional Catholic, and wouldn,t set foot in a Novus Ordo counterfeit church now, thanks to what I learned at SFX when I was young! Think! Pray! Tenete Traditiones!
