Annual World Day of Prayers for China: Solemn Mass

Posted by Stuart Chessman

A Solemn Latin Mass will be celebrated for the Roman Catholic Church in China on Friday May 24 at 7 pm at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist in Stamford, CT. The celebrant will be Fr. Cyprian La Pastina.

The Roman Catholic Church in China has been under persecution for 70 years. The Annual World Day of Prayers for China was instituted by Pope Benedict XVI in 2008.
