Looks as though there was room for more than a few more people in the pews. I haven’t been to St. Josaphat in over a year, but it was on my short rotating list of TLM’s on Sundays. I miss it. Our Lady of Prompt Succor, please pray for us.

No, I thought they had a decent crowd for a special Mass on that time and day of the week. Yesterday I attended their Sunday TLM – a Solemn High Mass – and it was full.

I agree about the Sunday Mass, which unfortunately is why I stopped going there after March. I figure finding a less-crowded Mass is more charitable in these times. Yesterday I went to St. Columbanus in Cortlandt Manor, which wasn’t crowded before March and still isn’t. The 10 AM TLM (always a low Mass) had about 50 people, which is about normal for there and works out okay these days in a church with a posted capacity of 768 and every other pew taped off. St Rosalie in Hampton Bays is okay on capacity too but doesn’t have a TLM on the second and fifth Sundays. But I’m happy to hear that the photo didn’t do justice to the number of people at St. Josaphat. These days I’m pinning my hopes for the future of the Church on the TLM and those who go to it.
