St. Mary’s Student Schola to Perform at St. Vincent Ferrer in New York

The Student Schola of St. Mary Church, Norwalk, CT will join the Sisters of Life Schola in a concert of sacred music under the direction of David J. Hughes on Friday May 20 at 7:30 pm at the Church of St.Vincent Ferrer, 869 Lexington Avenue, New York City. Proceed will benefit the Student Schola’s trip to Madrid, Spain, in August, where the choir will sing Gregorian chant and polyphony for Masses at World Youth Day.
The Student Schola, based at St. Mary’s Church,Norwalk, is a group of young singers ages 9-18 who are trained in the Church’s traditions of sacred music. The Sisters of Life were founded in 1991 by John Cardinal O’Connor to protect and enhance the sacredness of human life.
