First Solemn Mass in the United States offered by Rev. Aaron Huberfeld

Posted by Stuart Chessman

On Sunday August 22, Rev. Aaron Huberfeld, Canon of the Institute of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest, offered his first Solemn High Mass in the United States. Fathers Cyprian LaPastina and Greg Markey served as deacon and subdeacon. Fr. Matthew Talarico of the Institute of Christ the King served as assisting priest and preached. A large congregation assisted at the Mass at St. Mary Norwalk. The music, conducted by Mr. David Hughes included, among other pieces, the “Missa de Beata Maria” of Tomas Luis de Victoria. At the reception after the service, Fr. Huberfeld gave his priestly blessing to a seemingly endless line of the faithful.
