Christopher Check, the Executive Vice President of the Rockford Institute, will be delivering two lectures in Connecticut in April. Both events are free and open to the public and include convivial receptions.
In Waterbury on Saturday April 2, “Lepanto: The Battle and the Poem,” at the Gardern Room at Drescher’s, 25 Leavenworth Street, reception at 7:30 pm, lecture at 8 pm.
In Norwalk on Sunday, April 3, “The Inspired Generalship of the Lorrain Peasant Girl: St. Joan of Arc and the Hundred Years War,” at St. Mary Parish Hall, 669 West Avenue, reception 7 pm, lecture at 7:30 pm, babysitting available.
Christopher Check is the Executive Vice President of the Rockford Institute, which publishes Chronicles Magazine. A graduate of Rice University, he served for seven years as a field artillery officer in the Marine Corps in the Far East and the Persian Gulf. His writings on Catholic history and ideas have appeared in numerous publications. He has lectured extensively in North America and Europe.
