“Hildreth Meiere – Forgotten Artist”

Celia McGee of the New York Times writes about a new book on the works of Hildreth Meiere – and calls our attention to a walking tour of some of her work in New York scheduled for May 18. It being the New York Times, there is of course no mention of Meiere’s role as a Catholic artist – even though an exhibit here two years ago emphasized her religious works. For more on this aspect of her work see here (by us) and this excellent article by Matthew Alderman in the NLM.
