After circling the church, the Palm Sunday procession returns to the church doorAbove and below: Cantors from within the church sing the hymn to Christ the King (“Gloria, laus et honor”). After each verse, the faithful outside respond with a refrain, and the cantors become progressively louder.After the final repetition of the refrain, the subdeacon bangs three times on the doors with the foot of the cross.
