Tallis Scholars Coming to New York

The Tallis Scholars, the renown vocal ensemble specializing in early music, will be performing at St. Mary the Virgin Church, 145 W. 46th Street, on Thursday, April 2 at 8 pm. The program will feature music for double choir, including works by Palestrina, de Lassus and Gibbons. Bishop Cordileone named Bishop of Oakland

We congratulate Bishop Salvatore Cordileone on his appointment as bishop of Oakland. We know Bishop Cordileone as a friend of the Traditional mass. Indeed, the members of the Society assisted when Bishop Cordileone celebrated a Pontifical Mass at St. Mary’s Stamford in 2007.
