Cardinal Burke will celebrate a Solemn Mass at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelisit in Stamford on July 16 at 6 pm for the Feast of Our Lady of Carmel. The Basilica’s schola will sing Mozart’s “Sparrow” Mass.

Also at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist: Solemn Vespers for the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, Tuesday, June 29th at 6 pm.

At St. Martha Church, Enfield, CT, this Wednesday, June 23, a Traditional Mass for the Vigil of the Birth of St. John the Baptist will be celebrated at 7 pm, followed by a procession, bonfire and small reception (please bring a snack to share if possible). The church address is 214 Brainard Rd, Enfield.

St. Marth Church offers a high Mass every Sunday at 11 am and a low Mass every Wednesday at 7 pm. On holy days that fall on weekdays, there is a 7 pm Mass. On First Saturdays there is a 9 am Mass.

Our Eastern Catholic friends inform us there will be an opportunity to participate in an Italo-Greek (or Italo-Albanian) liturgy.

Fr Frantisek Marie Chloupek, CFR, who was ordained a priest on Saturday, celebrated his first Solemn Mass on Monday at St. Josaphat Church, Bayside, Queens. The Assistant Priest was Fr. Sean Connolly. The Deacon was Fr. Sebastian Maria Kajko, CFR. The Subdeacon was Fr. Elijah Marie Perri, CFR. The Master of Ceremonies was Mr. William Riccio. The organist and choir director was Mr. David Hughes.

Saturday, May 22, the Vigil of Pentecost

For the Vigil of the Pentecost, on Saturday May 22, Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Bridgeport, CT will offer a high Mass at 9 am, including the Prophecies, blessing of the font and Mass.

St. Patrick Oratory in Waterbury, Ct will follow the same schedule: at 9 am, the Prophecies, blessing of the font and a high Mass.

Pentecost Sunday, May 23

Traditional Latin Masses in Northern Fairfield County:

St. Joseph Church, Danbury, Sundays, 11:30 pm and Fridays at 6 pm with adoration and confession. Please note: this Friday, Apr. 30 there will be no traditional Mass or adoration due to a scheduling conflict.

St. Marguerite Church, Brookfield, Sundays, 12:30 pm.

St Patrick’s Church in Glen Cove (Long Island) now has low Mass at 7pm every Wednesday, followed by a silent Holy Hour, and confessions from 7pm to 8:30.
