This First Friday, September 3, 2021, at 7:00 pm there will be a Missa Cantata at Church of the Most Holy Redeemer in Manhattan. Following Mass, Fr. Donald Kloster will give a 30 minute talk on “Spiritual Battles.”  He will also will bring a relic of St. Pius X for veneration (September 3rd is his traditional Feast Day).

Today was the feast of the Beheading (Decollatio) of St. John the Baptist – as was commemorated at Mass today at Sts. Cyril and Methodius church (ICRSS). Metropolitan Opera Radio (on Sirius XM) had Richard Strauss’s Salome on the program this afternoon – a coincidence?

There is now a weekly Sunday Missa Cantata at St. Emery Church in Fairfield, CT at 12:30 pm. Fr. Peter Lenox is the celebrant. A lavish coffee hour follows the Mass in the church hall downstairs.

One hundred Catholics gathered this afternoon at St. Mary’s Church, Norwalk, CT to pray the Rosary for Bishop Caggiano and priests who say the traditional Mass. Bishop Caggiano was meeting during that time with his priests to discuss the Motu Proprio Traditionis Custodes. Reports of the meeting have been positive.
